Chairman Peter Coates is keen to appoint a new boss by next week as he plots Stoke’s return to the Premier League following their relegation last season.Sam Allardyce has ruled himself out of the job already, while there has been no approach for former Manchester United boss David Moyes.Jokanovic was sacked by the Cottagers midway through November after leading the club to the Premier League via the Play-Offs.But according to Telegraph’s John Percy, Stoke have failed to convinceJokanovic to step back into management. He wrote on Twitter: “Slavisa Jokanovic was a contender to replace Gary Rowett, but understand it will not be happening. Jokanovic is not ready to return to management just yet, after his sacking at Fulham.”Rory Delap, Kevin Russell and Andy Quy have been put in temporary charge but chairman Peter Coates wants to make a swift appointment.
