Manchester United will not sell star midfielder Paul Pogba in January or in the summer, it is understood.The Telegraph reports that executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, sees the French international as an integral part of the clubs plans both on and off the pitch.2

The 25-year-olds former club Juventus are rumoured to be monitoring his situation at Old Trafford in the hope they might be able to bring him back to Turin two-and-a-half years after his departure.Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked to Pogba.The World Cup winner had apparently been determined to quit United following the breakdown in his relationship with now former manager Jose Mourinho.But Mourinho’s sacking and the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker, who worked with Pogba during his time with the academy and reserves, has changed the situation.2

Pogba has already shined under Solskjaer, scoring twice and picking up two assists in his first two matches in charge.Speaking on Friday,Solskjaer vowed to build the team around Pogba.“I think Paul’s a top player,” said the caretaker boss.“He’s one of the best top, top players in the world, attacking-wise he’s done really well but he’s a big lad, can win headers, tackles, he’s been the same as the others.“The attacking has been perfect and that’s key, you should be tired towards the end of every single game. He’s been top class and we’re looking to build a team around him of course but there are so many quality players.”. The Frenchman also has the backing of fellow midfielder Nemanja Matic, who believes he is crucial to Uniteds team.Hes very important for us, Matic said. When he plays at his best, he can make the difference in every game. He played very well [against Huddersfield] but I think that he can do even moreThe confidence for the next one is going to be bigger and he needs to know that he still can improve. He needs to know that hes very important for this team.
