Gareth Bale urged to end Real Madrid nightmare and ‘take a pay cut to come back to Spurs’ by former Tottenham striker Mido
Alan Brazil has sensationally claimed Gareth Bale is fed up of football and wants to QUIT the game but former Tottenham striker Mido has urged the Welsh star to come back to Spurs.Bale is facing a summer of uncertainly at Real Madrid having become an outcast at the Bernabeu since Zinedine Zidanes return as manager. The 29-year-old was an unused substitute as Real concluded their dreadful season with a home defeat to Real Betis and is said to have stormed down the tunnel without acknowledging fans.Gareth Bale has made just five starts since Zidane was re-appointed as manager in MarchGetty3

Speaking in a recent interview with BT Sport, Bale hinted at his frustrations at Madrid and with life as a footballer, comparing it to living like a robot.

Gareth Bale speaking on BT Sport's 'State of Play':

“We’re told where to be, when to be there, what time we have to eat, what time we have to go to the coach.“It’s kind of like you lose your life in a way. You’re kind of just told what to do.“I think a career in football is so short that sometimes you just have to sacrifice it.“Some people think it’s worth it and some people think it’s not.“Everyone knows when it’s time to retire.”Responding to those quotes on Wednesdays Sports Breakfast, host Alan Brazil said: Im hearing that hes just fed up with it all now, he just wants to retire and play golf thats his love. Its a shame, really. And former Tottenham striker Mido replied saying hed love to see the White Hart Lane favourite back in a Spurs shirt.I hope thats not true, said the Egyptian. Ive always known Gareth as a top professional, he gave everything for Tottenham and gave everything for Real Madrid and I believe he deserves more respect.Honestly, I would love to see him back at Tottenham. I remember his first day at Tottenham, I was there and I remember him being shown around the training ground with his mum and dad as a young boy.I believe if he goes back to Tottenham he will get his desire back. I think Gareth is one of those players who needs to feel loved to play well, and at Tottenham everyone loves him.Bale became one of Tottenham’s greatest and most well loved players during his six-year spell in north LondonGetty3

The news thats coming out now is really bad because you can see theres something against him at Madrid and he deserves more respect. Its been six years since Bale joined Real Madrid for a then-record 85million, and while he enjoyed initial success he has steadily fallen out of favour with supporters and his boss.Zidane is keen to offload him in the upcoming transfer window, although reports in Spain have claimed Bale is happy to see out the remaining three years of his 350,000-a-week contract even if it means he will not play. But former Tottenham striker Mido has urged his old team-mate to put the money aside and come back to north London, where he will be welcomed back with open arms.Bale, who joined Real for 85m in 2013, has scored 102 goals in 231 appearances for the club, but is no longer rated by fansGetty3

Asked if he had a message for his old team-mate, the former striker added: Go back to Tottenham. Come back and play at Tottenham for three or four years.Hes got so much money, Im sure hell well off enough now to have a happy life with his family. He needs to feel loved and people love him at Tottenham. If he goes back he will be one of the best players in the Premier League again.
