Nelson Oliveira’s wife has suggested Tyrone Mings deliberately stamped on her husband’s face.Reading striker Oliveira was left with a gruesome facial injury following a challenge from the defender during The Royals’ 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.A shocking image of Oliveira’s damaged face was shared on social media, and Mings, who was making his debut for Villa, took to Twitter to apologise. While the FA has confirmed no further action will be taken, Oliveira’s wife, Mel, has appealed for the Bournemouth loanee to receive a ‘lengthy ban’.“It was a sad day for us and I hope someone will appeal for this guy to get a lengthy ban,” she wrote on her personal Instagram account.“Theres absolutely no excuse for his behaviour. “He knew where his head was. Hes got previous!”Mings has previously been involved in a stamping incident, with the FA issuing a five-match ban for a challenge on Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2017.
