Wolves captain Conor Coady desperately hopes Raul Jimenez will make his loan switch from Benfica permanent.The Portuguese striker has been in stunning form this term, most recently notching a goal and an assist during the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Manchester United, the latest giant killing of a remarkable season.His fine goalscoring record in the Premier League has propelled Wolves to seventh, and reports suggest the club will try to sign him for 30million this summer.The 27-year-old has previously declared his desire to stay at Molineux beyond this season.2

Jimenez put in another majestic display against United

“I’d like to stay at Wolves. I’m very happy,” he told Marca Claro.“A major project was created at Wolverhampton. It would be good if we could keep hold of Raul, it really would. It feels like hes been at the club for a long time and we want to keep him there for as long as possible.The clubs will come to a decision and hell come to a decision, I think to keep him would be a big thing for the football club. But well see.Wolves find themselves in the semi-finals of the FA Cup following a run which has seen them dump both Liverpool and Manchester United out of the competition.
